This old Olive Mill built in 1776 (13 years before the French revolution) is filled with warmth and tranquility, and the small stream running close by creates the perfect setting. The Olive Mill is an ideal place for those who wish to spent a great deal of time in Provence - or for those just looking for a summer villa unlike anything else.

Location: 3 km outside the ancient village of Claviers, down in the valley below the village, surrounded by woods, hills, olive groves and vineyards you find this private, peaceful and secluded property – totally undisturbed.  Claviers is located 20 km from the city of Draguignan, and a 50 min. drive from the sandy beaches of Saint Maxime-St.Tropez. The international airport of Nice is  60 min away. In Clavier you find a small grocery, a few restaurants and the local baker.

The house: A very romantic house, an old olive mill from the 17^th century, facing south on a very private terraced site with a brook alongside the house. The house is  fully restored with a fascinating mixture of modern architecture and restoration of the original stonewalls.  Here you will find privacy and peace. The mill is tastefully furnished with new furniture, very light and airy, with high beamed ceilings and rooms grouped around a glassed-in patio with ancient stonewalls providing an amazing atmosphere.

The property has a charming, private salt-water pool. Because the house is surrounded by terraces and is located on a brook it is not recommended for families with children under 4 years of age.

Ground floor:  The main door gives into a large living room with a high beamed ceiling and picture windows on to the patio garden. Fully equipped kitchen-dining room with sliding doors opening to the patio. Master bedroom with a double bed, sliding doors opening to the patio, a master bathroom with toilet, shower and Jacuzzi. Separate toilet.

First floor: Second bedroom with twin beds, windows towards the patio, a guest bathroom with shower.

Activities: Several excellent golf courses (9) in the area. Swims in the Mediterranean Sea – visit to the ancient roman towns in the area. The location is ideal for day trips to the spectacular Gorges du Verdon. The area is well known for its museums in Nice, Antibes, Cagnes, St.Paul de Vence, Fréjus, etc. In the winter season you can go skiing at Val d'Allos or Greolieres les Neiges.
